Water is one of the most common in nature and crucial for life chemical compounds. Provision of water to the city residents has the essential and strategic meaning. One of the first sentences of the Water Framework Directive reads: “Water is not a commercial product just like any other but, rather, a heritage which must be protected, defended and treated as such”.
For every waterworks company, the main objective prescribed by law is to provide a product that is safe for the consumer’s health. As the quality of drinking water is of significant importance for human health, it must meet all Polish and European quality standards. This allows confirming that the water is “clean and healthy”.
