The Kraków Water has become the winner of the 26th edition of the European Medal – a Poland-wide, non-commercial campaign – organised by the Business Centre Club with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (represented by the minister for EU membership) and under the Honorary Patronage of the European Economic and Social Committee of Brussels. The idea of this campaign is to recognise products and services that meet European standards. That European Medal has been awarded since 2000, and its recipients have included entrepreneurs from all over Poland, whose products and services were recognised for the highest quality.

The Kraków Water was recognised for providing the service of supplying high quality potable water – compliant with Polish and EU standards – in a continuous and reliable way, but also at an accessible, attractive price (the water and sewerage tariff of Kraków is among the lowest in the group of large Polish cities). The high-quality parameters as well as the professional and diligent water quality control – by the Central Laboratory of MPWiK S.A. of Kraków accredited by the Polish Centre for Accreditation – ensures and guarantees that water can be safely drung directly from the tap.
