Today at the Museum of Kraków in the Krzysztofory Palace the Saint Christopher’s medals were awarded.

This year, Piotr Ziętara, the President of the Kraków Water, was one of the awarded and received the medal in the “Financial Support” category, for the two-time involvement and support of the Lajkonik Parade in 2018 and 2019. The other winners were: dr inż. arch. Jan Janczykowski, who received the medal in the category “Cultivating Kraków’s traditions and customs” and professor Stanisław Waltoś awarded in the “Substantive support” category.

Every year the Chapter of the Medal recognises people and institutions that strongly support the Museum of Kraków in fulfilling its mission. This is to acknowledge their commitment and substantive, scientific and financial support, which make it possible to implement many valuable projects.

With the support of the Kraków Water, the Lajkonik procession was “renovated” and new costumes and equipment were purchased.
