The Philanthropist of Kraków competition has a long-standing tradition. Kraków has been awarding the title of Philanthropist every year for 22 years to individuals, institutions, NGOs and companies that are particularly committed to disinterestedly helping Kraków's residents in need.
 
Winners are selected in two categories: the most interesting form and effectiveness of philanthropy and the financial contribution to help individuals or institutions. To date, more than 60 individuals, institutions, companies and organisations have been honoured.
 
The premise of the competition is to support activities and initiatives of charitable nature and to promote local philanthropy. Above all, however, the competition identifies philanthropists acting purely out of a 'need of the heart'.
 
We are very pleased that this year the Mayor of the City of Kraków has recognised the "Tender H2O" initiative and the commitment of the Waterworks of Kraków to socially assisting those in need by awarding us the title of Philanthropist of Kraków 2021, for our financial contribution to assisting entities or individuals.
